SKPP November Tip of the month
When to lie low Fall brings beautiful colors, festivities, possibly gathering with family and friends, outdoor fun and more. But, this time of year it can also bring stress. How do we fit everything in? Do we have to attend every gathering? Sometimes the hustle leads to parents feeling burned out. We’d like to help. What would it feel like to just do what you want to do? Follow some advice from Pedram Shojai’s book, The Art of Stopping Time. Think about your current energy level. Are you currently just in the grind and willing yourself to do too much at once? Many people are using willpower to just get through in overdrive and sometimes our minds, bodies and relationships pay the price. Take 30 minutes today to only do what you feel like doing. Not what you feel obligated to do. This could be doing absolutely nothing. Or it could be stepping outside, reading, or taking a nap. From this point on, think of adding more balance to your life. Everyone needs time to take a breather, sometimes you need to book this into your overflowing calendar.
Our MissionThe Matunuck School PTO aims to unite our school community by supporting our teachers, staff and families through PTO-sponsored educational purchases, enrichment opportunities, and social events. The proceeds from our fundraising efforts will be used solely for the purpose that benefit all of Matunuck School students.
