SKPP November Tip of the month

When we see our kids struggling with depression or anxiety, we sometimes convince ourselves that it’s our children themselves that are broken and need fixing. More often than not, environmental change is what’s really needed to help them thrive. Maybe they need more support and active listening at home. Maybe they need professional guidance. They may need to be removed from an unhealthy situation or reduce overly stressful commitments. But discerning their needs begins with honest, non-judgmental conversation. Ask your child how they’re doing. Value their thoughts. Offer to help.

Our children are listening, so let’s keep talking.

Recess Guidelines

Winter tote courtesy of Matunuck PTO

See the recess guidelines below to understand what clothing is needed in what conditions!

Students will bring their MES Tote Bag to and from school daily (when there is snow on the ground). After recess, students will put snow pants, wet gloves, etc. in the MES Tote Bag. Students will take home the MES Tote Bag so the wet clothing can be dried for the next day.

Our Mission

The Matunuck School PTO aims to unite our school community by supporting our teachers, staff and families through PTO-sponsored educational purchases, enrichment opportunities, and social events. The proceeds from our fundraising efforts will be used solely for the purpose that benefit all of Matunuck School students.
